The Blue Mountain Beach Homes Market

Blue Mountain Beach sits at the highest elevation of any of the 30A communities of southern Walton County, at 64 feet above sea level. Early sailors saw the high dunes covered in Blue Lupine, earning the community its unique moniker.

Signs of old Florida are still readily appararent throughout the neighborhoods of Blue Mountain Beach - small cottages and beachfront bungalows line the dirt and gravel streets. Many of these home were constructed near the mid-point of the 20th century, and hold on to a certain rustic charm, with plenty of character. Newer luxury condominium and townhome developments have started to make their mark along this section of the Emerald Coast, complete with full, resort-style amenities that many investment and vacation property owners look for. Along the lines of what you would find in a beachfront resort, these communities feature private clubhouses, with much of the maintenance taken care of for you.

Blue Mountain Beach Community Highlights:

  • Relaxed, small beach community vibe
  • Delightful mix of older beach bungalows & cottages, as well as newer condominiums
  • Plenty of funky, local businesses amid the residential areas
  • Right next door to the nearby communities of Grayton Beach & Dune Allen Beach
